"message": "Select and stamp tile regions from Tiled maps\n\nTile Select could only pick tiles out of a tileset's image. On a map node\nthe same click fell through to painting, which does nothing without an\nexisting selection, so a map like 00-coneria-town.tmx could be viewed but\nnever used as a source. A tileset such as towns only seemed to work because\nits image happens to be a picture of finished towns.\n\nA map selection is a rectangle of map cells. Each cell reads every visible\ntile layer, bottom to top, and resolves the number there back to the\ntileset node and image that draw it, so a stamped region looks like the\npart of the map it came from. Hidden layers, empty cells, and numbers past\nthe end of their tileset are left out, as the preview leaves them blank.\nLayer data may be compressed and decoded asynchronously, so the rectangle\nis drawn immediately and the drag waits for its tiles before finishing.\n\nStamping reuses Tile Regions. The group names its source map instead of a\ntileset, carries one region cell per stamp so stacked layers are placed\nexactly like single ones, and sizes stamps to the map cell as the preview\ndoes. Mirror flips carry over; an anti-diagonal flip is a rotation stamps\ncannot express, so those tiles keep their unrotated source. Consumers of a\nsingle tile take the topmost tile of the starting corner.\n\nThe map preview now keeps a render token so a drag's frequent redraws\ncannot finish out of order. The object selector still leaves map canvases\nalone, as its tests require.",
